The Forgotten People
A short, documentary style film about the people of the rhondda.
After living in the valleys for most of my life, I was particularly interested in the ‘decline’ I was witnessing. Having the opportunity to make a film, I knew the one thing I wanted to focus on. To my (joyous) surprise, there were many, many happy memories of the rhondda. It was a breath of fresh air to hear positive things from the different experiences, reigniting the proud feeling of community. Although there were still concerns for the future of the valleys, all residents shared their love for, what they consider to be, their always home.
I look forward to the future possibilities of my filmmaking ventures. I learned a lot from this experience and, after feeling every possible emotion, am excited for the next one.
